Heavy Duty Lumber Storage Rack: Crafted from premium steel with a hammered powdercoat finish, our wall-mounted rack is built to last. The included shelving hardware, such as lag bolts and locking pins, can bear up to 480 lbs of weight, or 160 lbs per individual shelf.

Wood Rack Dimensions & Specifications: The package includes 2 upright wall racks, 6 arm brackets, 2 rack adapters (to join multiple uprights vertically and create a system), and all necessary lag bolts and locking pins. When fully installed, the measurements are 20.5 inches H x 16 inches D x 32 inches W. Wood is not included.

What is recommended shelf width? The minimum width would be 16 inches apart, but you can install them as wide as you like, as long as they're in studs. Do not go more than 48 inches wide between uprights, as the board may bow in the middle if a lot of weight is placed on it without support.

Do the lag bolts come with anchors? If not, what size anchors will work with them (in case I don't have any wall studs)? The lag bolts do not come with anchors. The size of the lag bolt is as follows: head size 13mm, threaded diameter 7.8mm, threaded length 50mm, and total length 55mm. We have designed and tested the weight capacity of these based on stud installation.

Does the 16-inch depth include the flex tip end? Will I be able to secure a 20-inch or 24-inch deep shelf flat and secure on them? Yes, the 16-inch depth includes the flex tip end, and yes, you can secure a 20-inch or 24-inch deep shelf on the arms. Each arm has 2 holes that you can use to put a screw through and into a shelf board to secure them.

Can you mount the system into metal studs or solid walls? The lag screw mounting hardware included with the heavy-duty wall racks is only for wood stud installation.

What is the purpose for the tabs at the end of each bracket? Is it possible to use 18-inch deep shelves that extend over? The purpose of the tabs is to prevent material from rolling off the shelf. If adding your own shelf, you can go beyond 16 inches in depth. You can easily bend the tabs down flat.
